Herrin- Marian Elizabeth Ritzler, 88, of Herrin, formerly of Westmont, IL, passed away at 11:45 PM, Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Friendship Care Center in Herrin.
Marian was born on October 7, 1918 in Chicago to Gustave & Laura Mae (Blood) Sage. She was an adventurous woman who served her country bravely during World War II. She packed parachutes for the Airborne while enlisted in the US Army (WACs). Once honorably discharged, she worked in the machine shop for Grayhill Moldtronics in Downers Grove until her retirement.
Marian was Lutheran and enjoyed spending time with her family and the friends she made while living at Hurricane Creek in Herrin.

Daughter- Norma Watson of Herrin
Grandson- James Wood of Herrin
Close friend- Vera Woolard of Carterville
She was preceded in death by her parents, former husband, Roland Bunting, son in law, Alva Wood, one sister and two brothers.
As per her wishes, she will be inurned next to her mother in Clarendon Hills Cemetery in Westmont, IL. Memorial arrangements were entrusted to Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
