Marietta Mueller, 90, of Marion, passed away at 11:00 PM, Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Marietta was born on September 28, 1920 in Carterville to Clyde Ray & Marie (Terry) Childers. She worked for Universal Match in the Ordill area, but retired from working on the Press Line at Smoller Brothers in Herrin.
She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and Marion Third Baptist Church.
In her spare time she enjoyed bingo and dancing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sons- Terry, Larry, Gary & Lonnie Mueller, granddaughter- Brandy Woodsum-Nelson and three brothers- Junior, Harold & GW Childers.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Pastor Scott Kallem will officiate. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
