Marietta Mueller, 90, of Marion, passed away at 11:00 PM, Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Marietta was born on September 28, 1920 in Carterville to Clyde Ray & Marie (Terry) Childers. She worked for Universal Match in the Ordill area, but retired from working on the Press Line at Smoller Brothers in Herrin. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and Marion Third Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed bingo and dancing. Survivors include- Daughter- Mebalena Mullins of Marion 8 grandchildren: Eugenia Frasier and husband Kevin Lonnia Frampton & husband Ralph Patricia Hogue Lonnie Mueller, Jr. Shannon Tippy & husband Irmon Tonya Diel & husband Virgil Clint Mueller Matthew Mueller & wife Erica 19 great grandchildren: Elizabeth Cook Alina and Rich Krumrey Amber and Ryan Clarida Dathan and Michele Wollard David Lee and Heather Norris Jeremy and Laura Norris Leslie and Kyle Cutsinger Patrick and Cheyenne Burnett Nicola and Justin Tippy Olivia, Jessie and Victoria Mueller Benjamin, Faith and Charity Diel Cassondra Woodsum Shaylynn Nelson Darren and Hailey Mueller 10 great great grandchildren: Dustin & Cera Cook Ethan & Abby Krumrey Blake Clarida Brennen, Nolen & Weston Norris Jordan Norris Wyatt Cutsinger Step grandchildren: Brittany and Ryan Frampton Steven and Kasey Fraiser Brother- Terry Childers and wife Rita of Colorado Sister in law- Corbell Childers of Goreville Several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, sons- Terry, Larry, Gary & Lonnie Mueller, granddaughter- Brandy Woodsum-Nelson and three brothers- Junior, Harold & GW Childers. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Pastor Scott Kallem will officiate. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Memorial donations are suggested to Marion Third Baptist Church or Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at Mitchell-Hughes funeral Home/ 800 N. Market St/ Marion, IL 62959.
