Marilyn Hicks

Marilyn Hicks, 86, of Marion passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 8:50 am at Marion Rehab. Marilyn was born March 1, 1926 in Marion the daughter of F.C. and Oral (Gray) Turner.  She married Pete Hicks and he preceded her in death. She was a longtime employee at Montgomery Ward and following that she worked at the Marion Civic Center.  Marilyn was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marion. Survivors include her; Nephews; Paul (Valerie) Turner Jim (Guyla) Turner John (Teresa) Turner Kenny (Kelly) Turner Charles Turner Nieces; Marsha (Mike) Achord Carol (Ken) Williams Sister in law – Jan Sims Sister in law – Loretta Turner Preceded by her Parents, Husband – Pete, Daughter – Patty, Brothers – Curtis and Charles Turner. A graveside service will be Friday, November 7, 2014 at Mulkeytown Cemetery with Rev. Jeff VanDyke officiating.  Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.  Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
