Martha A. Bubanovich

Zeigler- Martha A. Bubanovich, 92, of Zeigler, passed away at 4:34 AM, Sunday, October 22, 2006 at Herrin Hospital. Martha was born on July 26, 1914 in Kowal, Poland to Nicholas & Valeria (Terpenski) Filipiak. She married Louis Bubanovich on November 24, 1938 in Herrin. He preceded her in death on May 5, 1991. Mrs. Bubanovich was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Zeigler. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Polish National Allegiance. SURVIVORS: Son & daughter in law- Gene & Sharon Banner- St. Louis, MO Son & daughter in law- Tom & Janice Bubanovich- West Frankfort Six Grandchildren: Stephen Bubanovich & wife Gina- Poplar Bluff, MO Mark Banner & wife Molly- St. Charles, IL Michael Bubanovich & wife Jennifer- Palatine, IL Lisa Banner- Wheaton, IL Brian Banner & wife Jessica- St. Louis, MO Justin Banner- St. Louis, MO Four Great Grandchildren: Alyssa Bubanovich Cara Bubanovich Aubrey Banner Noah Banner Brother- Ted Phillips- Zeigler Niece- Karen Phillips- Cambria Nephew- James Stephan & wife Alice- Arvada, CO Great Niece- Valerie Roundy & husband Rick- Arvada, CO Great Nephew- Andy Stephan & Shauna- Arvada, CO She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister, Helen Stephan. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Monsignor Ken Schaefer and Father Peter Hsu will officiate. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery in Herrin. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 PM, Monday, October 23, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. A prayer service will be at 6:00 PM, Monday at the funeral home.
