Mary Ann "Nums" Lindsey

Herrin Mary Ann Nums Lindsey, 67, surrounded by her family, passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2007 at 3:37 P.M. at Herrin Hospital following a short battle with cancer. Mary Ann was born June 6, 1940 to Jack D. & Ivy (Rae) Young in Carterville. She married Bart Ray Lindsey on August 17, 1962 in Carterville. Last Friday was their 45th wedding anniversary. Mary Ann was a Carterville High School graduate, being crowned homecoming queen in 1958. She was a homemaker and a member of the Carterville 1st Presbyterian Church. Mary Ann was an avid bowler and loved gambling at the Riverboat with her sister Robbie. Survivors include: Husband Bart Lindsey of Herrin Daughter Debbie Kenny and husband Howard of Herrin Son Darren Lindsey and wife Nancy of Herrin Three Grandchildren; Zackery Lindsey of Herrin Charlie Bart Howard of Herrin Kenna K. Howard of Herrin Six Sisters and their spouses: Nanette & Franklin Green of Wisconsin Jackie & Sam Woods of West Frankfort Robbie Mezo of Herrin Tammy & Mark Winter of Carterville Kathy McCabe of Carterville Leann & David Rose of Tulsa, Oklahoma Sister-in-law Dolores & Peanuts McConnell of Herrin Brother-in-law Brad & Samara Lindsey of North Carolina Several nieces and nephews Preceded by Parents, Brother John Young and 2 sets of infant twin siblings. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin will be handling private services for the family.
