Mary E. Craig

Mary E. Craig, 73, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 12:35 p.m. at her home surrounded lovingly by her family. Mary was born March 3, 1940 in Marion the daughter of Herman and Allene (Blumenstock) Snider.  She married William E. Craig on July 31, 1959 in Pulleys Mill and together they shared 51 years of marriage until his death on July 15, 2011. She retired from General Dynamics and attended Grange Hall Freewill Baptist Church. Mary is survived by her: Mother – Allene Snider of Marion Six children; Tony Craig of Marion Ron Craig of Marion Dianne Perry of Carrier Mills Bobbie Jo Wink and husband Tom of Christopher Beth Ann Marks and David Darnell of Makanda Scott Craig of Cambria Fourteen grandchildren Four Great Grandchildren Two sisters; Beverly Grant and husband Danny of Lynchberg, Tennessee Terry Barnett and husband Kenneth of Marion Several nieces and nephews Mary was preceded in death by her Father – Herman Snider, Husband – William Craig, Son – Dennis Craig, Two granddaughters – Jessica and Ashley Perry, Sister – Betty Mercer, Brother – Oscar “Bud” Snider. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Oral Perry officiating.  Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
