Mary E. Holland

Bush- MARY ELIZABETH HOLLAND, age 76, of Bush, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 8:54 AM on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Herrin Hospital. Mary was born in Piedmont, MO on October 21, 1931, the daughter of the late Albert and Ann (Leval) Cook. She married Delbert N. Holland in Pinckneyville on August 28, 1960. They shared thirty-five years of marriage, until his death on November 4, 1995. Mrs. Holland was a member of the Jubilee Tabernacle in De Soto. She was a homemaker. Mary was loved by many and she gave her love and concern to all she met. Survivors include: Two dear sisters- Shirley Kell and Gladys Hammond- both of St. Louis, MO Several Nieces and Nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband- Delbert, brothers- Joe and Vernon Cook and sisters- Myrtle Thompson and Olie Mae Cook. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Danny Norman officiating. Burial will follow at Blairsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Monday, March 24, 2008 at the funeral home.
