Herrin- Mary Hunsick, 91, of Herrin passed away at 4:25PM Friday, November 28, 2003 at her home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Monday, December 1, 2003 at Johnson- Hughes Funeral Home with Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00AM until the time of service Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the San Carlo Cemetery in Herrin. Mrs. Hunsick was born on February 13, 1912 in Herrin, IL to Charles and Rose (Ronzio) Alegnani. She was a homemaker. She married John Hunsick on December 27, 1932 in Herrin, IL and he preceded her in death on June 28, 1983. Survivors include: Two daughters of Herrin: Betty Guido and Mary Jane Jones Four grandchildren: Joseph & Candi Guido of Carterville Robert and Cheryl Guido of Albuquerque, NM Leanne and Tim Johnson of Herrin Alison and Kyle Grant of Carterville Nine great grand children survive: John Michael Guido of Oregon Darren, Andrea & Ethan Guido of Albuquerque, NM Shiann and Derrick Johnson of Herrin Lauren Deaton and Lindsey and Jacob Grant of Carterville One great great grandson- Jameson Michael Guido of Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son; John Charles Hunsick, one sister; two brothers, one great grandson and two son-in-laws. Mrs. Hunsick was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and was a charter member of the Daughters of Isabella.
