Mary I. Franklin

Marion- MARY IDA (MURROW) FRANKLIN, age 86, of Marion, passed away at 3:55pm on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Mary was born in Marion on February 12, 1921, the daughter of Joseph Howard and Ruby Jane (Schafer) Murrow. She married Raymond Franklin in Marion on November 2, 1936. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1996. They shared sixty years of marriage. Survivors include one daughter- Lillian Davey of Bonners Ferry, Idaho One Brother- Howard Bud Murrow of Marion, IL One Sister and brother-in-law- Joan and Bill Kelton of Mt Vernon, IL Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband- Raymond, her son- Kenneth R. Franklin, one brother- John Murrow and one sister- Betty Follis. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, October 8, 2007 at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Marion, with the Rev. David Maragni officiating. Visitation will be held from 12-2pm on Monday, October 8, 2007 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
