Mary Lee Bratten-Rankin

Marion Mary Lee Bratten-Rankin, 88, of Springfield formerly of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at 8:15 A.M. at Regency Nursing Care Residence in Springfield. Mary Lee was born May 26, 1917 in Marion to William R. & Docia ONeil. She married Delmer Crain, she then later married Gilbert Bratten, he preceded her in death, and then married Harold Rankin, he preceded her in death. Mary Lee was a beautician. She was a graduate of Marion Township High School in 1936 and VTI Cosmetology College. She was a member of Disciples of Christ Christian Church, Delta Theta Tau Sorority and Crab Orchard Country Club. Survivors include: Two Sons Gilbert L. Bratten and his wife Lila of Springfield Jon M. Bratten and his wife Laura of Decatur Five Grandchildren: Brandy Lane, Traci Martin Shanlee Bratten Kara Bratten Marissa Bratten Sister Roberta Harmon, Cocoa, Florida Preceded by: Parents, Husbands Gilbert Bratten and Harold Rankin, Infant Daughter Sherry Crain, Two Brothers Douglas ONeil and Robert ONeil and Sister Louise Parker Funeral services will be Saturday, October 22, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Lynn Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
