Energy Mary Lou Sackman, 73, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2006 at 12:40 P.M. at Helia Nursing Care Center in Carbondale. Mary Lou was born January 13, 1933 to George L. & Rena (Cox) Phillips) in Marion. She married William Sackman on June 26, 1981 and together they have shared over 25 years of marriage. He survives in Energy. Mary Lou retired from Olin Manufacturing. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her hobbies were cooking and crocheting. Survivors include; Son Steven Cannon of Marion Two Daughters; Gloria Purnell and husband Jon of Herrin Vicki Hope and husband Jeff of Marion Step-Daughter Susan Floyd and husband Jim of Fort Worth, TX Four Step-Sons; Steven Sackman and wife Sharon of St. Louis, MO Ricky Sackman and wife Eva of St. Louis, MO William Sackman of St. Louis, MO Kevin Sackman and wife Teresa of St. Louis, MO Eleven Grandchildren; Mathew Cannon Adam Cannon Brent Purnell of St. Louis, MO Heather Gural of Houston, TX Dana Linnabary of Fort Worth, TX Chad Hope of Salem, IL Brian Hope of Newnan, GA David Sackman of St. Louis, MO Jeffrey Sackman of St. Louis, MO Chris Sackman of St. Louis, MO Margie Sackman of St. Louis, MO Alyssa Sackman of St. Louis, MO Kevin Sackman of St. Louis, MO Seven Great Grandchildren; Dylan Linnabary, Dakota Linnabary, Julian Purnell, Brooke Gural, Hunter Gural, Nicole Hope, Jake Hope Brother David & Mayle Phillips of Marion Four Sisters; Betty & Terry Hilliard of Marion Mildred & Estes Haseker of Marion Carole & Paul Sprague of Marion Peggy & Gordon Gisy of Marion Preceded by Parents, Brothers Bob Phillips and Billy Phillips Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Marion with Pastor Mark Surburg officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 9:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. For those who prefer memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Sanctuary Fund. Envelopes will be available at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
