Mary Winifred Angell

Mary Winifred Angell Marion- Mary Winifred Angell, 86, of Marion died at 9:05 A.M., Saturday, May 26, 2001 at the home of her granddaughter in Texarkana, AR. Mary was born on April 14, 1915 in Marion to George & Hattie (Chanberry) Askew. She married Charles Pemberton in 1932. He preceded her in death in 1941. She later married Kenneth Angell in 1944. He also preceded her in death on Dec. 28, 1972. Mrs. Angell was a homemaker and a member of the Marion Third Baptist Church. She also was a member of the VFW ladies Auxiliary. Survivors: Three Grandchildren Six Great Grandchildren Four Great-Great Grandchildren Brother- James F. Askew- LaPuenta, CA Her parents, husbands, one daughter; Jacquelyn Cobb, and one sister preceded her in death. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, June 1, 2001 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral home in Marion. Dr. Jerry Ford will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
