Michael D. Davis

Herrin- Michael Dean Davis, age 53, of Herrin, passed away at 8:40pm on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 in his home, surrounded by his family. Michael was born on November 23, 1953 in South Bend, IN, the son of Joseph and Naomi (Priddy) Davis. The family moved to Herrin in 1954. He worked on the washing machine assembly line for Maytag in Herrin. Mike loved people. He loved to laugh and have friendly arguments. Survivors include his mother, Naomi Davis of Herrin; a brother, Eugene Davis of Herrin; a sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Allan Hardin of Cobden; and many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Davis; one nephew, Mark Rogers; and his grandparents. Elgin and Maude Davis & John and Mary Priddy. As per Mikes wishes, his body will be cremated and there will be no services. Arrangements are being handled by Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
