Marion – James Michael “Mike” Jobe, 68, of Marion, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 7:30 am at the V.A. Medical Center in Marion.

Mike was born April 13, 1951 in Carbondale the son of James “Jim” and Jacqueline Sue “Jackie” (Newton) Jobe. He was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church of Carterville for over 30 years. Mike was a heavy equipment operator for Peacock for 15 years and owned Jobe Electronics for over 40 years. Mike was an Air Force Veteran proudly serving his country during the Vietnam Era.

Survivors include his; Special Friend – Regina Webb of Marion

Father – James Jobe of Marion

Niece – Misty Jobe of West Frankfort

Great nephew – Ethan Riddle of West Frankfort

Great niece – Hevyn Riddle of West Frankfort

Several aunts and uncles

Preceded by his Mother – Jacqueline Sue “Jackie” Jobe and brother John Daniel “Danny” Jobe.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 26, 2019 at 1 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Green and Rev. Rick Ragain officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Military Rites will be presented by members of the Marion VFW Post #1301, American Legion Post #147 and Air Force Flag Detail Unit. Visitation will be Friday from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
