Mildred A Meracle

Marion Mildred Alene Meracle, 81, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at 3:50 P.M. in Paradise Manor. Mildred was born June 11, 1925 in Pittsburg to Benjaman & Lois (Mifflin) Owens. She married Bruce Aaron Meracle on December 28, 1946 in Piggott, Arkansas and together they shared over 47 years of marriage until his death on January 28, 1994. Mildred and Bruce owned a grocery and furniture store in Pittsburg. She was a member of the Pittsburg Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending the Senior Citizens center in Pittsburg and was very active. Mildred is survived by One Brother, Ray Owens and wife Bonnie of Columbia, SC. One Sister, Marilyn Tuttle and husband Bill of West Frankfort. Sister-in-laws Sherry Stephenson and Eloise Meracle, both of Pittsburg and Brother-in-law Wayne Meracle of Marion. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Preceded by Parents, Husband, Two sisters - Helen Allen and Ivo Tanner, Three brothers George, Ralph and Clifford Owens and Brother-in-law Donald Stephenson. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 28, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Donelson and Rev. Danny Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery in Pittsburg. Visitation will be Sunday from Noon until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Union Grove Cemetery and will be accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
