Herrin- MILDRED VIRGINIA (HAUB)GREENWOOD, of Herrin, passed away at 12:55am on Friday, February 23, 2007 at her daughter's Lake Sara home in Effingham, IL at the age of 82.
Mildred was born in Clifford 8, near Herrin, on February 17, 1925, the daughter of Harmon Benjamin and Lola Muriel (Rexroth) Brandon. She married William C. Haub in Jackson, MO in 1941. He preceded her in death in 1969. She later married Robert J. Greenwood in Hernando, Mississippi on January 19, 1971. He preceded her in death on December 8, 1993.
Mildred was a working mother, having worked at Smolers Brothers and Allen Industries. She enjoyed collecting recipes and was a wonderful cook. Her hobbies were playing cards, reading, puzzle books, and collecting fiestaware. She also enjoyed traveling, nature, and spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Greenwood was always independent and active. She maintained her own home until recently when her declining health led her to accept a move to her daughter's home on Lake Sara in Effingham.

Terry E. Caliper of Marion, IL
Three Grandsons- Rhett and Ashley Kobler of Effingham, IL
David and Chris Collins of Ashville, NC
Kevin and Lisa Caliper of Swansea, IL
One granddaughter- Kelly Collins of Marion, IL
Six great grandchildren
Brother and sister-in-law- Leroy and Jeanette of Herrin, IL
Beloved Family Pet- Bogey Kobler
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents,both husbands, and her brother Richard Brandon.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Monday, February 26, 2007 at
Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating.
Burial will follow at Blairsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm
on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
