Mildred L. Brown

Herrin- Mildred L. Brown, 98, of Herrin, passed away at 4:30 AM, Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Home in Herrin. Mildred was born on September 7, 1909 in Whiteash, IL to William & Lavenia (Rice) Fustin. She married Harold Brown on December 12, 1929 in Herrin. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1974. Mildred was a homemaker and the oldest living member of the First Presbyterian Church in Herrin. Survivors include- Grandson- Harold Ray Herb Cutsinger & wife Tara Gail of Lake of Egypt Great Grandson- Mark & Melanie Colombo of Marion Great Granddaughter- Jane Morgan of Herrin Nephew- Brad Fustin of Florida She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter- Maxine Cutsinger & son in law- Charles Cutsinger. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 7, 2008 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Brother Zane Neely will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of service, Monday at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the Herrin First Presbyterian Church or Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
