Marion Mildred M. Nuber, 91, died Sunday, January 30, 2005 at 7:02 P.M. at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin.
Mildred was born March 30, 1913 to Joseph & Adelia (Picton) Sweeney in St. David, Illinois. She married Edward N. Pops Nuber on September 27, 1941 in Chicago and he preceded her in death on April 28, 1984.
Mildred was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion, American Legion Auxiliary Post #147 and Eagles Ladies Auxiliary #2457 of Marion.

Mildred is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband Edward, Two Sisters Catherine Donovan and Florence Kooch.
Funeral Mass will be Thursday, February 03, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin with Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating. Burial will follow in San Carlo Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 9:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. A prayer service will be held at 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
For those who prefer memorials may be given to St. Judes Children Hospital or Books for The Blind. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
