Mildred M. Unger

Herrin- Mildred M. Unger, 82, of Herrin, passed away at 6:22 PM, Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Mildred was born on January 25, 1929 in Paulton to Robert E. & Dora (Rector) Klope. She married Robert Unger on November 23, 1967 in Marion. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2002. She was retired from Olin Corp and attended the Christian Life Center. Survivors include- Son- Roger E. Tolbert and wife Sara of Herrin Daughter- Gayla Martie and husband Charles of Elkville Daughter- Andrea Lineberry of Herrin Seven Grandchildren Ten Great Grandchildren One Great Great Grandchild Brother- Robert L. Klope and wife Malinda of Paducah, KY Four Nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother- Clyde Klope. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson and Rev. Susan Burnett will officiate. Burial will follow at Worley Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service, Saturday, at the funeral home.
