Marion- Mildred N. Booten, 91, of Marion, passed away at 11:45 PM, Friday, May 27, 2011 at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.
Mildred was born on February 27, 1920 in Carrier Mills to Uriel & Ethel (Chaney) Suver. She married H. Allen Booten on November 5, 1954 in Marion. He preceded her in death on July 24, 1994.
She worked for Ameren Electric for several years prior to her marriage and later worked for Bruce Troutman and Bill Brown at the Williamson County Treasurers office.
Mildred was a member of Beta Sigma sorority, P.E. O and Westernaire Homemakers. She was a precinct committee woman for many years and member of the Republican Central Committee and Williamson county Republicans Womens club. She was also a member of Beta Sigma sorority in Harrisburg and the Marion First Christian Church.
Survivors include-
Son- Todd Alan Booten and wife Tabatha of Marion
Grandchildren- Taylor and Colton
Nephew- Randy Davis of Harrisburg
Nephew- Kyle Davis of Marion
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Marion First Christian Church. Rev. Bill Rucker will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
