Mildred Roberts

Mildred Roberts, 91, died peacefully in her sleep at the Consulate Health (hospice) Care Center of North Fort Myers, Florida at 8:45 P.M. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. Mildred was a former resident of Marion, but had been residing in Florida since relocating there to be near her daughter Morgan and her family. Mildred was born February 21, 1921 in Charleston, Mississippi the daughter of Robert and Nell (Kendrick) Armstrong. She married Earl Glen Roberts and he preceded her in death on May 13, 1994. Mildred had always worked caring for her family and alongside Earl as he trained horses. Survivors include; Daughter Alene Cole and husband Carl David of Estill Springs, Tennessee Daughter Morgan Young and husband Richard of Desoto Six Grandchildren; Ricky J. Smedley Pamela L. Bisbee Kim Nargis William C. Young Tracy L. Stolz Joy G. McClanahan Five great grandchildren Preceded by her Parents, Husband Earl Glen Roberts, daughter Margaret Perkins and Three brothers. Graveside services will be Monday, April 23, 2012 at 1 P.M. at Cana Cemetery in Goreville. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
