Millie May

HERRIN- Mildred Millie May, age 81, of St Louis, MO, formerly of Herrin, passed away at 5:30am on Friday, June 9, 2006 at Rosewood Care Center in St Louis, MO. Millie was born in Herrin on November 20, 1916 to Albert and Nellie (Denison) McNeely. She married Earl May in Herrin on December 31, 1937. He survives in St. Louis. Mrs. May was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Marion. Millie had been living in St Louis for the past four years at the invitation of her Daughter and Son-In-Law. Survivors include- One Daughter and Son-In-Law- Marilyn and Douglas Tonkinson- St. Louis, MO One Grandson- John and Catherine Tonkinson- Dallas, TX 4 Great Grandsons- James, Henry, Will & Andrew Tonkinson- Dallas, TX Close Friend of the family- Dan Hance- St. Charles, MO Millie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, June 12, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with the Rev. R.G. Walls officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 12:00pm at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donors choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
