Mitchell Dean Wiseman

Herrin- Mitchell Dean Mitch Wiseman, 49, of Herrin, formerly of Johnston City, died at 10:00 PM, Friday, July 3, 2009 at his home. Mitch was born on June 18, 1960 in Los Angeles, CA to Lawrence & Bettye (Knight) Wiseman. He worked for many years in various capacities for area coal mines and drove a truck for nearly twenty years. Mitch was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. He enjoyed fishing in local ponds, camping and caving, going to rock concerts (most recently Judas Priest), and hanging out and spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include- Daughter- Rachel Wiseman & fianc Adam Mays of Herrin Grandchild- Joshua Mays of Herrin Niece- Amber Rice & husband David of Marion Niece- Autum Cullers & husband Gabe of Carrier Mills Great Nephew- David Christopher Rice of Marion Great Niece- Brianna Cullers of Carrier Mills Former wife & best friend- Sabrina Wiseman of Herrin Close friends- Mike Sanders of Carterville He was preceded in death by his parents & brother- Larry Wiseman. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at Whiteash Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service, Wednesday, at the funeral home.
