Mrs. Denise M. White

Herrin- Denise Marie White, 62, of Herrin, formerly of Chicago, passed away at 7:13 AM, Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Herrin Hospital. Denise was born on August 16, 1952 in Chicago to Thomas Michael and Loretta Marie (Schorn) Speilman.  She married Billy White on April 1, 2011 in Marion.  He survives of Herrin. Denise was a homemaker and cared for her family.  She formerly worked at several restaurants. She was catholic and attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin.  In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, gardening and painting.  She will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Survivors include- Husband- Billy White of Herrin Son- James Meredith and wife Christina of Herrin Daughter- Shannon Beers of Herrin Daughter- Gwen Goodwin and husband Jerry of Adamsville, AL Daughter- Lovice Skinner and husband Kevin of Carterville 8 Grandchildren: Jamie, Steven and Brittney Meredith of Herrin Laurie Smith of Herrin Nichole Inboden and Ryan Inboden of Herrin Travis Skinner of Carterville Daniel White and wife Kristine of Clarksville, TN Great Grandchild- Mason White of Clarksville, TN Sister- Katherine Thomas of Chicago Sister- Carol Marinkovich of Chicago Sister- Geralyn Peterman of Chicago Many nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents and eight brothers and four sisters. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.  Monsignor Ken Schaefer will officiate.  Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of service, Tuesday, at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
