Nancy Edwards

Nancy Edwards, age 81, of Marion, passed away at 1:50pm on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Parkway Manor in Marion.

Nancy was born on March 12, 1940, the daughter of George R. and Vivian F. (Coleman) Strunk. She married Paul E. Edwards, Sr. in West Frankfort on October 12, 1968. He preceded her in death on January 24, 2020.

Mrs. Edwards had attended First Church of God in Marion.  She had retired from nursing where she previously worked at Marion Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by:

Daughter and Son-in-law-– Jane Watson (David) of Grand Chain

Daughter-in-law – Elizabeth Edwards of Marion

Daughter-in-law- Sylvia Edwards of Johnston City

Six grandchildren

Ten great grandchildren

Two great great grandchildren

Three Brothers- George “Spank” and Diana Strunk of Johnston City

     David and Judy Strunk of Pinckneyville

     Lindell and Sheila Strunk of Sherman, Mississippi

Sister-in-law – Norma Bennett (Deon) of Crab Orchard

Preceded by her Parents, husband, and three sons – Jeff D. Edwards, Matt Edwards, and Paul Edwards, Jr.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 12:00pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Harper officiating.  Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00am until the time of service at the funeral home.
