Nancy Jean Keyser, 71, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at her home in Marion, with her family by her side.
Nancy was born March 7, 1941, in Marion, the daughter of Riley Baynard Proctor and Mary Ruth (James) Proctor.
Nancy enjoyed spending time with and taking care of her family.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Kenneth Eugene Keyser; her daughter, Roxane and Dan Ingle of Marion; sons, Kevin and Becky Keyser of Dykersburg, and Brad and Leigh Ann Keyser of Marion; grandchildren, Matthew Ingle of Anna, Kiersten and Kenneth Kerley of Marion, Kolby Keyser of Marion, Charlee and Kaylee Reynolds of Dykersburg, Morgan Keyser of Marion and Kameron Keyser of Marion; great-granddaughter, Kensleigh Kerley of Marion; brother, Jim Proctor of Murphysboro; sisters, Lee and Ken Dennis of Mansfield, Mo.; Elaine and JD Motsinger of Marion and Patricia and Jerry King of Marion; and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jeanette Proctor.
A special thanks to her sister-in-law, Diane Pritchett, for all her loving care.
Per Nancy's request there will be no services as she decided to donate her body to SIU School of Medicine in hopes of finding a cure for cancer.
In lieu of flowers we respectfully request donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Nancy's name and honor.
