Nellie Lee Cooper

Murphysboro- Nellie Lee Cooper, 94, of Murphysboro, passed away at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 12, 2006 at Rehab & Care Center of Jackson County in Murphysboro. Nellie was born on August 31, 1911 in Chaffee, MO to Mr. & Mrs. Gorman Dobyns. She married Fred E. Stockinger in 1926. He preceded her in death in 1934. She married Dave Cooper on June 28, 1937 in Murphysboro. He preceded her in death on February 27, 1994. Mrs. Cooper was of Pentecost faith. She enjoyed spending time with family and cooking. SURVIVORS: Son & daughter in law- James Murray & Linda Stockinger- Murphysboro Son & daughter in law- Sam David & Diann Cooper- Concord, KY Daughter & son in law- Carolyn & Ron Vician- Palm Coast, FL Daughter in law- Patsy Schwien- Benton Fourteen Grandchildren Twenty Seven Great Grandchildren Twelve Great Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one daughter, four sons, one sister and four brothers. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
