Norma Jean Boester

Marion Norma Jean Boester, 79, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 2:30 P.M. at Herrin Hospital. Jean was born December 6, 1930 in Cook, County the daughter of Edward & Pauline (Penland) Grant. She married Rudolph Rudy Boester on September 9, 1988 in Marion, he survives in Marion. She was a member of the Marion First Church of God, the Marion Eagles. She was a secretary for the Illinois State Police for over 19 years. In addition to her husband she is survived by her; Son William Bruce Walker and wife Vincie of Marion Daughter Pamela Sue Odum and husband Doyle of Marion Daughter Tina Poettker and husband Dan of Waterloo Nine Grandchildren Two Great Great Grandchildren Preceded by Parents and Brother Don Grant. Memorial services will be Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 1:30 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Heberer officiating. Inurnment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from Noon until the time of service at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
