Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home Norma Mildred Hale-Obituary & Picture Herrin-Norma Mildred Hale, 78, died 10:20 P.M., Saturday, February 22, 2003 at her daughter's residence in Herrin. Norma was born April 9, 1924 in Herrin to William & Eva Melissa (Stevens) Sexton. She married Linford Hale on January 3, 1942 at Jackson, MO. He preceded her in death on January 17, 2003. Norma was employed for several years at Norge as an inspector. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Herrin. She was a prayer warrior. When she was younger, she and Linford enjoyed camping. She enjoyed the company of her family & friends. Survivors include: Daughter & Son In Law: Patricia & Richard Walter of Herrin Son & Daughter In Law: David & Anita Hale of Alexandria, LA. Grandchildren: Rick Walter & wife Christy of Royalton, IL. David Walter & wife Kelly of Jacksonville, IL. Chad Walter of Little Rock, AR. Sara Walter of Herrin Jason Hale & wife Karyn of Pineville, LA. Lynita Williams & husband Daryle of Ocala, FL. Three Great Grandchildren: Christopher Walter of Royalton, IL. Jacquelyn Walter of Royalton, IL. Reeve Hale Williams of Ocala, FL. Three Sisters: Mary Jane Cooper & husband Kenny of Herrin Connie Conley & husband Doyle of Charleston, IL. Sharon Gaddis & husband Don of Herrin Three Brothers: Paul Sexton & wife Jeanetta of Baldwin Park, CA. Tommy Sexton & wife Imogene of Herrin Gary Sexton & Linda of Chester Also survived by several nieces & nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Evelyn Nation & Betty Farris, brother, Don Sexton & infant brother, Billy Sexton. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 25, 2003 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. David Hale & Rev. Michael Tetmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Johnson -Hughes Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Tupelo Childrens Mansion, American Diabetes Association or to American Kidney Foundation. Memorial envelopes are available at the funeral home.
