Norma M. Kornemann

Herrin- Norma M. Kornemann, 85, of Herrin, formerly of Chicago, passed away at 10:10 PM, Friday, January 16, 2004 at Herrin Hospital. Norma was born on February 27, 1918 in Baltimore, MD, to Julian & Emma (Higgiston) Greenstreet. She married Robert H. Kornemann on Christmas Eve 1948. He preceded her in death on December 26, 1969. Mrs. Kornemann was retired after serving many years as clerk for the Illinois Central Railroad in Chicago. She was of Methodist faith. SURVIVORS: Son & daughter in law- Jerel Buck & Brenda Kornemann- Statesboro, GA Two Grandchildren: Robert Kornemann & wife Stephanie- Athens, AL Chase Kornemann- Macon, GA Great Grandchild- Bayley Kornemann- Athens, AL She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. At her request her body is to be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date at Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche, SD; where she will be inurned next to her husband.
