Norma Mae Watts

Marion Norma Mae Watts, 84, passed away on Wednesday, May 07, 2008 at 3:18 A.M. at her home. Norma was born Jan 22, 1924 the daughter of Carney Ray & Nellie Houston (Bridwell) Owens in Springfield. She married Dean Watts on July 2, 1956 in Uika, Mississippi and together they have shared over 51 years of marriage. Norma worked with the elderly in various hospitals, nursing homes and as private duty. She was a member of Lemaster Pentecostal Church. Survivors include: Husband Dean Watts of Marion Two sons; Larry E. Maddox and wife Pat of Burlington, Iowa William E. Maddox and wife Diane of Adrian, Florida Daughter Sandra Lee Pritchett of Marion Eight Grandchildren Six Great Grandchildren Sister Betty Travelstead of Marion Several nieces and nephews Preceded by Parents, Three brothers Lawrence, Sam and LaVerne Owens, Sister Nadine Dawe. Funeral services will be Friday, May 9, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Chris Clendenin officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
