Olga Sturm

Herrin Olga Sturm, 80, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2006 at 4:45 P.M. at Herrin Hospital. Olga was born November 17, 1925 in Herrin to Ben and Nan (Nash) Hardcastle. She married Joseph Sturm on January 29, 1955 in Marion and together they shared over 22 years of marriage until his death on September 3, 1977. Olga was the former owner of Egypt Flowers in Herrin. Prior to her return to Herrin she worked for K-Mart in Chicago and Iowa for 25 years. Survivors include: Three Daughters; Marsha Comes of Des Moines, IA Joni Walden and husband Clewis of Lake Ozark, MO Connie Gosnell and husband Mike of Herrin One Son Donald R. Sturm of Des Moines, IA Six Grandchildren; Joseph W. Comes and wife Jill of Des Moines, IA Jon Comes of Des Moines, IA Nancy Connell of Des Moines, IA Susan Connell of Des Moines, IA Sara Sturm of Des Moines, IA Chad Joseph Sturm of Des Moines, IA Great Grandchild Jacqueline Comes of Des Moines, IA Sister Maxine Hoppe of St. Peters, MO Brother Bob Hardcastle and wife Barbara of the Lake of Egypt Sister Loretta Reagan and husband Chuck of Herrin Sister Pat Sowman of Herrin Several Nieces & Nephews Preceded by Parents, Husband, Five Brothers Ray, Bill, Leymone, Charles, Benny Hardcastle and Sister - Edwina Hardcastle. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Burial will follow in Davis Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
