Marion- Oliver W. Irwin, 87, of Marion, died at 2:25 AM, Saturday, July 24, 2004 at Parkway Manor in Marion.
Oliver was born on June 24, 1917 in Spillertown to Harry & Myrtle (Rex) Irwin. He married Esther Watson on February 22, 1942 in Jackson, MO. She preceded him in death on September 16, 1995.
Mr. Irwin was retired from Irwin Typewriter. He was a member of Marion First Baptist Church and a veteran of WWII.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter; Susan Irwin, one sister; Virginia Boyer.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home. Dr. Joey Brent will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Military rites will be provided by the Marion VFW & American Legion Post #1301. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
