Ollie E. Rogers

Marion Ollie E. Rogers, 70, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at 2:46 p.m. in Heartland Regional Medical Center. Ollie was born November 20, 1935 in Jasper, AL to Robert B. & Cora F. (Bobo) Rogers. He married Patricia A. Pauhl on August 1, 1964 in Chicago and together they have shared over 41 years of marriage. She survives in Marion. Ollie retired from General Motors in Willow Springs, Illinois. He was a member of the Lake of Egypt Christian Church. Ollie served his country in the Army. Survivors include: Wife Patricia A. Rogers of Marion Two Sons: Robert S. Rogers of Mesa, AZ Thomas E. Rogers of Golder, CO Step-Mother Ora Lee Rogers of Jasper, AL Sister Annie Mae and Sammy Drummond of Jasper, AL Sister Debra of Jasper, AL Brother Shelton Best of Jasper, AL Sister-in-law Bonnie Rogers of Jasper, AL Several Nieces and Nephews Preceded by: Parents, Brother Maxwell Rogers, Sister Mary M. Sherer Funeral services will be Friday, December 2, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Leroy Waggoner officiating. Entombment will follow in East Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be given to the ALS Foundation. Envelopes will be available at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
