Opal R. Stephenson, 90, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 4:05 am at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Opal was born April 13, 1925 in Williamson County the daughter of Segal and Ava (Beers) Lollar. She married Charles M. Stephenson on August 19, 1944 in Marion and together they shared over 64 years of marriage until his death on April 5, 2009.
Opal was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her beloved family. She performed many roles throughout her lifetime. What her family treasures most are their fond memories of going to her house for weekly family gatherings with lots of good food prepared by her loving hands. There was never a stranger entered her door. Everyone was treated like family. We will never forget the happy times of fellowship and laughter. She will always be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was member of Pittsburg Freewill Baptist Church.
