Oscar "Bud" Snider

Oscar Bud Snider, 70, passed away on Monday May 7, 2012 at 2:54 P.M. at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield. Bud was born December 6, 1941 in Williamson County the son of Herman and Allene (Blumenstock) Snider. He married Carolyn Sue Grimes on June 4, 1960 in Marion and together they have been blessed with over 51 years of marriage. He working career was with First Computer Services of Paducah and United Computer Services in Marion, he also worked in construction. Bud was a member of Grange Hall Freewill Baptist Church, where he had attended his entire life and has served as a church deacon for over 30 years. Survivors include; Wife Carolyn Sue Snider of Goreville Mother Allene Snider of Marion Two daughters; Pamela Borum of Goreville Connie McCree and husband Frank of Marion Six grandchildren; Paul Cato and wife Emily of Carterville Erin McCree of Marion Tawney Borum of Goreville Twins Cody and Caleb Cato of Goreville Tyler Borum of Goreville Three great grandchildren; Alexis David of Goreville Audrey and Hadley Cato of Carterville Three sisters; Mary Craig of Marion Beverly Grant and husband Danny of Lebanon, Tennessee Terry Barnett and husband Kenneth of Marion Several nieces and nephews Extended family - Norman and Nancy Cato of Goreville He was preceded in death by his Father, Daughter Marsha Cato and Sister Betty Mercer. Funeral services will be Thursday May 10, 2012 at 1 P.M. at Grange Hall Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin McNeely and Rev. Dale Billingsley officiating. Burial will follow in Grange Hall Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5 8 P.M. at the church. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements. For those who prefer memorials may be made to Camp Jericho Freewill Baptist Church Camp.
