Otis E. Perry

Marion Otis E. Perry, 89, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at 9:50 A.M. at the home of his daughter. Otis was born February 7, 1917 in Marion to John E. and Alice (Reese) Perry. He married Altha Marie Perry on November 5, 1939 in Jackson, Mo and together they shared over 64 years of marriage until her death on November 27, 2003. Otis was a member of McKinney Chapel Church. He retired from Laidlow & Bowman Tire Mart. Survivors include: Son William Edward Perry of Marion Two Daughters; Rosetta DeMent and husband Shaw of DuQuoin Linda Winchester and husband Gary of Marion Five Grandchildren; Rose Ann Hill of Marion Terry Gene Hill and wife Vicki of Marion Linda Ann Vojvodich and husband Nick of Marion Starla Kay Tolbert and husband Steve of Marion William Shawn Hill and wife Vanessa of Marion Eight Great Grandchildren Two Great-Great Grandchildren Sister Mary Hogan of West Frankfort Preceded by Parents, Wife Altha and Daughter Glenna Sue Perry Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 28, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Fountain Cemetery with Rev. John Montgomery officiating. Family and friends are ask to gather directly at the cemetery. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is handling the arrangements.
