Paralee Elizabeth Deaton, 89, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at her home.
Paralee was born May 23, 1927 in Clifford, Illinois the daughter of Jacob and Rosa (Howard) Whitecotton. She married William E. “Bill” Deaton on June 16, 1946 in Piggott, Arkansas and together they shared over 63 years of marriage until his death on February 9, 2010.
She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Marion.

Preceded by her Parents, Husband, daughter – Carol Romans, great granddaughter – Lindsey Nicole Furlong, eight brothers – Leslie Whitecotton, Robert Emery, Clarence, Whitecotton, Herbert Whitecotton, Alvin Whitecotton, Howard Emery, Hollis Emery, Jacob Whitecotton and six sisters – Irene Hand, Emma Hand, Ruth Salome, Ella Bateman, Dorothy Brandon and Lela Greathouse.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 10, 2016 at 1:30 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Bob Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 11:30 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
