Patricia Joan (Owen) Alumbaugh

Herrin- Patricia Joan (Owen) Alumbaugh, age 80, of Herrin, passed away at 3:45am on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at her home in Herrin.  Patricia was born on August 8, 1933 in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska, the daughter of Jack Arden and Lena Belle (Gibson) Owen. She married Eugene L. “Gene” Alumbaugh on October 12, 1952 in Evansville, Indiana. He survives in Herrin.  Mrs. Alumbaugh was a homemaker.  Survivors include her husband- Gene Alumbaugh of Herrin Daughter- Joan and David Mira of Marshal, IL Daughter- Ramona Alumbaugh of Herrin Daughter- Karen Walker and Wes Mills of Greenup, IL Daughter- Cathy and Doug Dickerson of Hurst Son- Tony and Cindy Alumbaugh of Nolensville, TN Son- Stephen Alumbaugh of Herrin Nine grandchildren-Michael and John Mira      Martin Stout      Brandon Kingery      Chris and Patti Walker      Gary Dickerson      Richard and Kenner Alumbaugh Fourteen Great Grandchildren  She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers- Donnie and Gene Owen, and one sister- Sharon L. Elduen.  Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Pastor Michael VanBriston officiating.  Burial will follow at BlairsvilleCemetery.
