Herrin Patricia Lynn Hargis, 60, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2008 at 4:27 P.M. at Herrin Hospital. Patricia was born July 28, 1947 the daughter of Jack & Viola (Wallace) Hargis in West Frankfort. Patricia is survived by: Daughter Cheryl Schaefer and husband John of Streamwood, Illinois Son Alvin Burns and wife Jenny of South Elgin, Illinois Daughter Jamie Smithey and husband Sam of West Frankfort Daughter Tessa Smithey and husband Steve of Waverly, Tennessee Grandchildren; Brendan, Jonathan, Lily, Anne, Amber, Allen, Alex, Adam, Alicia, Tabitha, Tommi, Douglas, Christopher, Michael and Stephen Two Great Grandchildren Sister Paula Eaton and husband Thomas Ray of South Elgin, Illinois Niece Samantha Eaton of Chicago, Illinois Nephew Tony Eaton and wife Valerie of Plano, Illinois Preceded by her Parents and Sister, Alice Hargis. A memorial service will held on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Pastor Lee Wallace officiating. A time of gathering for family and friends will be held for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
