Patricia "Patti" Eckols

Herrin- PATRICIA ANN PATTI ECKOLS, age 57, of Herrin, passed away at 8:00am on Monday, December 31, 2012 at Herrin Hospital. Patricia was born in Herrin on August 9, 1955, the daughter of Ralph Kenneth and Blanche Mary (Brown) Eckols. She had worked as a certified nurses aid at various nursing homes and had also received EMT Training. Patti enjoyed singing and playing guitar and was an expert on classic movies. Survivors include her son- Christopher and Emily Eckols of Pocahontas, IL; Two grandchildren- Amber and Zachary Eckols of Pocahontas; four sisters- Sandra and Gary Morris of Anna, Sue Oakley of Herrin, Rosie Eckols of Herrin, Linda McGuire of Herrin; brother- Michael Eckols of Herrin; two special nephews- Mike and Jeff Cain of Herrin; two special great nephews- Gabe and River Cain of Herrin; and Two special great nieces- Jourdyn and Sydney Cain of Herrin. Patti was preceded in death by her parents, brother- Kenneth Eckols, and her nephew- Jason Cain. Memorial services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, January 5, 2012 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Inurnment will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00am until 1:00pm on Saturday at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
