Patricia Diane Walker, age 76, of Herrin, Illinois, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023 at her home in Herrin, Illinois.

Patricia Diane was born May 29, 1946 in Herrin, Illinois, a daughter of Jewell Marie Myers. She married the love of her life, Frank "Pete" Walker, Jr. on November 29, 1982 in Herrin. He preceded her in death on February 18, 2008. Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a CNA. She loved her job, making it her way of life, many times donating her own time and money to make things better for them as best she could. Given her gentle and loving nature, this all came very naturally for her. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Daughter & son in law- Kathy & Sam English of Herrin

Daughter- Leah Walker & companion Jeff Howell of Herrin

Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren

Brother- Charles and Kay Wells of Herrin

Sister- Gladys Johnson of Herrin

Aunt Nora Wagley of Herrin

Brother-in-law- Raymond Walker of Herrin

Many nieces & nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter- Violet Choate, son- Roy Holland, and grandson- Elliott Choate.

Private inurnment will take place at Herrin City Cemetery. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with final arrangements.
