Colp- Paul A. Wiggins, 72, of Colp, passed away at 10:24 PM, Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at St. Johns Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis.
Paul was born on February 23, 1933 in Herrin to William Paul & Ruth Pauline (Burke) Wiggins. He married Eileen Bellinger on May 1, 1971 at the Methodist Church in Glen Park, IN. They were married thirty-four years.
Mr. Wiggins served was a US Veteran having served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Afterwards he worked as an ironworker for various construction companies throughout the area prior to his retirement. He was affiliated with local #395 in Hammond, IN.
Paul was an active member of the Second Baptist Church in Herrin. He volunteered as trustee for many years as well as serving as assistant librarian, usher and greeter. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and fishing the many different ponds and lakes in the area. He enjoyed reading and was a big fan of Louis LAmour and westerns.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, March 28, 1005 at Second Baptist Church in Herrin. Rev. Brad Harlow will officiate. Inurnment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 29, 2005. A gathering hour will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service Monday at the church. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin has been entrusted with arrangements.
