Paul D. Sanders

Creal Springs- PAUL D. SANDERS, age 66, of Creal Springs, formerly of Herrin, passed away at 5:06pm on Thursday, June 23, 2008 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Paul was born in Herrin on December 29, 1941, the son of Harry and Bertha Marie (Murray) Sanders. He married Nancy Fay Allen in Herrin on June 28, 1963 and together they shared 42 years of marriage, until her death on November 12, 2005. Paul was a United States Army veteran, having served during Vietnam. His favorite pastimes were antiques and smoking his pipe. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law- Tami and Ronnie Browning of Creal Springs, IL; son- Kevin Sanders; Grandchildren- Heather and Katie Browning and Melanie, Jacob, and William Sanders; two sisters- Alice Lantrip and Norma and Kenneth Landrum; one brother- Don Sanders; three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law-Jim and Mona Allen, Derel and Lola Allen, Jane and Randy Tate; Companion- Joyce Roberts; her sons Ryan and Jeff Roberts; her granddaughter- Justice Roberts; many nieces and nephews. Paul had a special place in his heart for his nephews- Brian and Andy Allen. Special friends included Deb and Bill Weygand and Marvin and Ann Birch and many new friends and family in Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, nephew- Lee Allen and nephew- Jimmy Landrum. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Herrin City Cemetery with the Rev. Don Colson officiating.
