Paul Junior Reese, 86, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 6:57 A.M. at his home.
Paul was born July 8, 1922 in Marion the son of Gottlieb and Reba (Herring) Reese. He married Ruby Troxel on June 21, 1941 in Charleston, Missouri and together they have shared over 67 years of marriage.
Paul proudly answered the call to serve his nation by first joining the Army during WWII where while serving in Germany he was held as a Prisoner of War, he received a Purple Heart Medal. Following his discharge he then served in the Navy. He worked for the City of Marion Water Department, Marion Toyota Parts Department and for 17 years he drove a school bus for Marion School District. He was a member of the 1st Church of God, and a lifetime member of Marions VFW Post #1301.

Preceded by Parents, Daughter Beverly Lynne West, Twin sister Pauline in infancy and Brother Bobby Reese.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Keith Heberer officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Military rites will be presented by Marions VFW Post #1301, American Legion Post #147 and the National Guard Military Honors Team. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
