Paul Leon Lowery

Paul Leon Lowery, 69, of Edgewater, Florida, passed away at 12:45 PM, Monday, August 16, 2004 at Hospice Care Center in Port Orange, FL with his family by his side. Paul was born on August 20, 1934 in Oscar, KY to the late Paul E. & Lottie L. (Moore) Lowery. He married Phyllis Weiss on July 1, 1961. She survives of Edgewater. Mr. Lowery worked twenty-eight years as a heavy equipment manufacturer for Clark Equipment Company in Jackson, Michigan, before moving to Florida in 1998. He was fan of Kentucky Wildcats Basketball and St. Louis Cardinals Baseball. In his spare time, Paul enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing cards. He was a member of New Smyrna Beach First Baptist Church. SURVIVORS: Wife- Phyllis A. (Weiss) Lowery- Edgewater, FL Son & daughter in law- Stephen & Jane Lowery- Phoenix, AZ Grandchild- Eleanore Lowery- Phoenix Brother & sister in law- Ken & Ann Lowery- Cement City, Mich. Brother- Randy Lowery- Kevil, KY He was preceded in death by his parents. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 21, 2004 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Deacon Robert Stroud from Jacksonville, Arkansas will officiate. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Herrin. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service, Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler Counties in Florida or the New Smyrna Beach First Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
