Pauline C. Carnaghi

Herrin- PAULINE CATHERINE CARNAGHI, age 95, of Herrin, passed away at 8:30am on Monday, October 15, 2007 at her residence in Herrin. Pauline was born in Herrin on March 2, 1912, the daughter of John and Ernestine Bianchini. She married Peter Joseph Carnaghi in Herrin on June 19, 1934. They shared fifty-seven years of marriage, until his passing on March 13, 1992. Mrs. Carnaghi was a member of Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. She was a graduate of St. Marys Grade School. Pauline was a homemaker. Survivors include: Son and daughter-in-law- John and Judy Carnaghi of Tallahassee, FL Three Grandchildren- Lisa and Philip Ferneau of Canaan, NH Karen and Rob Austin of Charlotte, NC Jason and Amy Carnaghi of St. Augustine, FL Five Great Grandchildren- Nathalie Ferneau of Canaan, NH Meredith Ferneau of Canaan, NH Jackson Carnaghi of St. Augustine, FL Thomas Austin of Charlotte, NC Henry Austin of Charlotte, NC Sister-In-Law- Edith Bianchini of Herrin, IL Son-In-Law- Thomas Lelli of New Bern, NC Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband- Peter, her daughter- Mary Alice Lelli, three sisters and two brothers. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin, with Monsignor Ken Schaefer officiating. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, October 19, 2007 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. A prayer service will be held at 6pm on Friday evening at the funeral home. For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Building Fund.
