Pauline Leeper

April 19, 1922 — July 8, 2015

Herrin- Pauline Leeper, age 93, of Herrin passed away at 2:44pm on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin. Pauline was born in Herrin on April 19, 1922, the daughter of Joseph B. and Sarah "Blanche" (Roberts) Parent. She married Don Edwin Leeper in Corinth, Mississippi on April 18, 1947.  He preceded her in death on December 1, 1987. Mrs. Leeper was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  SHe spent her time caring for her family and her little dog, quilting, crocheting, cooking, and working diligently with the Herrin Free Methodist Church Women's Missionary Group. Survivors include her son- Robert Leeper of Herrin Daughter- Janette Duncan of Marion Three Grandchildren- Lisa and Dr. Medha Suwanawongse of Pittsburg Christopher and Amy Duncan of Marion Joseph Duncan of Marion Three Great Grandchildren- Christian Michael Duncan of Marion Aaron David Duncan of Marion Jonathan Levi Duncan of Marion She was preceded in death by her parents; her adoring husband; and  three brothers- Lambert Joseph, Glenn, and Bill Parent. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Glen Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10-11am on Saturday at the funeral home.
