Herrin- PAULINE PARISH, age 90, of Herrin, passed away at 7:30pm on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at her residence in Herrin.
Pauline was born on September 22, 1916 in Herrin, the daughter of Harry and Jennie Mae (Hewlett) Robinson. She married Lowell Richard Parish on January 24, 1953 in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death in 1971.
Mrs. Parish was a retired inspector for US Steel in Chicago. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Herrin as well as the Williamson County Senior Citizens. She was an honorary member of the Catholic Ladies Club and the AARP.
Survivors include two sisters: Ruby Restivo of Herrin and Peggy Gower of Johnston City. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell; her parents; two brothers- Leslie and James Albert Robinson; and two sisters- Betty Elaine Thompson and Helen Gibbens.
It was Mrs. Parishs wish to have her body donated to Southern Illinois Universitys School of Medicine. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, April 16, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Herrin, with Rev. Ed Hoke officiating. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is handling arrangements.
