Pauline Stephens

Marion Pauline Stephens, 85, of Normal, Illinois formerly of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 11:20 P.M. at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Normal. Pauline was born October 23, 1913 in Corinth, Illinois the daughter of Roy and Ethel (Jordan) Newman. She married Ross Stephens on August 28, 1930 and he preceded her death. She was a longtime resident of Marion who had relocated in 2005 to be near her daughter. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Marion. Pauline is survived by: Daughter Paula Hargrave and husband James of Bloomington, Illinois Grandson Paul Stephen Hargrave and wife Rhonda of Bloomington, Illinois Great Grandson Grayson Paul Hargrave of Bloomington, Illinois Brother Larry Joe Newman of Mt. Vernon, Illinois She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Son, Donald R. Stephens, Grandson, James Stephen Hargrave, Brother, Perry Newman and two Sisters, Jessica Williams and Bobbi Bruns. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Danny Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday from 1 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Charity of your choice.
